” You do not need to travel the world to find your art. If you can’t find it in your own backyard, you are not going to find it anywhere”. One of my photo instructors told me this years ago when I first started shooting and it stuck with me. The idea of your immediate surroundings as your subject. It was also a way to excersize the eye, to be constantly “looking”.
